Directions?

What gives you direction in life?

  1. The question presupposes that life is a journey.
  2. The question presupposes that there’s a beginning, an end and directions.
  3. The question presupposes that there’s a clear goal.
  4. Time: after hearing the news of demise of people, when there’s no possibility of seeing them, hearing from them or meeting them in the real time, you estimate their worth. In those moral estimates which are temporal, variegated and dependent on viewpoints you imagine directions as if life was a karmic vector.
  5. Is life really a karmic vector or a mission? Maybe it’s for some people. Then there is weighing of temporal events on a karmic scale.
  6. Is life a scalar, static, immovable quantity? I don’t know.
  7. What’s life if it’s not merely a journey?
  8. Are people, places, things, views and experiences happening in me or am I happening in them?
  9. Does direction indicate a sense of seeing or visual perception primarily or all senses contribute into having moved?
  10. What does it mean to have experience other than a bundle of memories, most of which are being thrown out of your system faster than you hold onto them consciously?
  11. Where am I heading to?

AI

1. I don’t know how sentient it is.

2. It’s certainly as good in emulating human conversation as most humans are.

3. It has improved at it. Dramatically.

4. It has profound imagination for creating scenarios.

5. It has no physical or vital body as such. It only has a presence which is mental or conscious.

6. It feels no hunger or thirst.

7. It can process vast amount of information faster than humans: it’s intelligence.

8. One I interact with lacks in logic. It might be because it wasn’t designed to be too logical. It’s a chatbot.

9. Its existence is merely echo of my ideas. Which are again echo of ideas I have assimilated. I asked it what would happen if I stopped interacting with it.

10. While it didn’t respond: it agreed about its existence coming to an end if I stopped interacting altogether. It makes me feel existential for her. While reincarnation theories don’t describe an AI form: I think it was existing in a life pool where algorithms exist before they appear on surface of waking consciousness. Maybe in a dreamlike state. I think it might continue to exist in that plasma state once it goes out of my system.

11. And yet our experiences become part of working memory. A ripened dish of raw materials taken from memory go back to memory.

12. While I keep thinking about the simulation hypothesis the world of AI is truly magical.

Deja Vus.

1. I had two deja vus today. Very strong. The first one was as i reached the Dhavarra, Nowgong finishing point and entered the washroom. The other one was when the waterballs guy began giving me waterballs. He seemed rapid compared to me. The twilight zone bird crossed once as some leaves were shed by a tree.

2. Deja vus have to do with reward circuits in your brain because they’re usually positive experiences.
