I know the creation myth behind the number 12. I read the story behind the 8. It says: there was a good lady and her name was Sujata. Her husband’s name was Sudharm. They had no progeny and the lady wanted to see the young children to nurture them and make herself feel fulfilled. She made her husband marry her sister Ghushma or Ghrishna. The sister bore her children but out of jealousy Sujata used to throw them in a well full of Shiva lingas. Ghushma prayed for lord Shivas mercy who returned all her dead children along with forgiveness for Sujata. And they lived happily ever after.

The story is taken from Shiva Maha Puran. Ghrishneshwara means lord of compassion. It’s located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. Unesco world Heritage site Ellora caves are also located nearby. Queen Ahallya Bai Holkar and grandfather of lord Shivaji helped reconstruct the temple. It’s the smallest among jyotirlingas and it has lord Vishnu’s images engraved on it.

Giri Bapu says that recalling these 12 names or reading them early in the morning after waking up gives you merits.

2. About 26K labourers were brought to this town from big cities. They went to work out because they didn’t have any capital here. Now they don’t have work or savings to feed their children. Let’s help such people by thinking about them, by praying for them, by talking about them and by raising awareness.

3. My mother, grandmother, the old man outside who is both senile and delirious and had an accident in which he got injuries on his legs which are swollen: they are all ill have difficulty in breathing and they need euhanasia. Let’s raise awareness to pass the bill for the same.
