Bundelkhand Marathon 2021 Fit India Event Concludes!

1. The race began by 7:00 AM. They had called us to stadium by 5:00 AM.

2. They had announced the start time as 6:00 AM.

3. I reached to a red chair under Ashok tree in Gandhi Smarak Bhavan after my lunch in Deendayal Rasoi.

4. It was day 21 in Deendayal Rasoi.

5. I told marathon details to some people who asked me questions because I was wearing T-shirt and bib given by the organizers.

6. It took me 200 minutes to cover 30 kilometres. It took me about five more to reach highway, where I got into a taxi.

7. My measurements were not wrong. The board on Jhan Jhan Devi said it was a six kilometres distance. I measured my time. It was 21 minutes. Double of that is 42 minutes for 12 kilometers. Then: triple of that is 126 minutes for 36 kilometres. Which means 30 kilometres should take about (126-21=105 minutes)

8. The measurement in point number 7 are accurate. I took couple of pissing breaks. Kept walking as fast as I walked that day and ran as well. The first lap of jogging was about 23 minutes followed by shorter laps of jogging and longer laps of walking.

10. The winner Anees Thapa works in Indian army in Hyderabad. He completed race in 1H30M53S

11. Out of 1034 participants 400 completed the race.

12. Despite my being very slow in finishing the race: it was a joy. Runner’s high is a recognised phenomenon. I had not walked or ran so long at a stretch ever before. I would like to thank organizers, participants and everyone else for this program which promotes fitness.

What are the odds?

1. Took 40 minutes to turn Shivansh compost. Three of us. The third one joined very late. I did 51 taslas(plastic pans.)

2. As i was waiting under the shade of eight petalled lotus he shared half of an apple. As we began working the slipper’s stripe which is used as grip by thumb and middle toe snapped. What are the odds. It was good because if it had happened during the marathon i would have ran barefoot.

3. Had no idea that registration process was going to be this complicated. Had to stay in multiple queues for 3 hours 20 minutes.

4. If you ask me: it’s not very encouraging for participation in years to come. If such an event happens: i would prefer not participating in it. They should have given a clear outline of complicated registration process on their website. They kept changing timings.

5. It was a huge event(biggest after Dussehra in which i participated but not as enjoyable) with hundreds of people appearing for registration. Maybe a few thousand. The question is: how do they organize the runners on track. Some of them would be given lead as so many people can’t stand together on track. Played many vocabulary jams. PC had a doppleganger today. Received a score of 820 in one of the jams despite two incorrect answers. Which seemed odd as it usually doesn’t happen.

6. I need to wakeup early and then, finally, run. Got a call from the person whose footwears i would use for the run as soon as i came out of the stadium. What are the odds?

7. Asked for another handkerchief this morning got a yellow one. Like the Tshirt given by the organizers. Yellow. What are the odds? Like the color painted on Deendayal Rasoi building.

Areca Nuts!

1. It took 80 minutes to register 30 titles today. Came across letters by Osho to his patron mother. This book I brought here with a Urdu dictionary. They are in the third almirah clockwise. Udainiya ji and ATM slips mystery is buried in them. Also came across a treatise comparing Premchand with Gorky. By Shachiraani Gurtoo.

2. Completed reading 51 pages of ‘Aditi and other deities in Veda’ by M. P. Pandit. Asked a few questions to lady weeding in the field to get a clearer picture about her life story.

3. It took about twenty five minutes to weed out 80 mustard and carrot grass plants. Strangely: in the row of carrots , potatoes and parsnip –carrot grass and mustard plants were weeds. I tasted some of the mustard leaves. They had oily taste as well as pungent acrid influence on tongue which was beetroot’s effect on throat. I had never tasted a beetroot without its being chopped in form of salad dressing before. I would advise against it to anyone going forward.

4. An hour to sweep and collect garbage, burn it and scrap grass after the meeting. Though they asked for dustbin- they put it outside- they didn’t use it. In effect: they behaved like school kids littering here, tither and yonder. It was also the case with journalists last week. The notice board ‘don’t litter’ or Gandhi’s glasses in ‘Clean India Survey’ can’t bear fruits until we lack discipline. I am supposed to buy two arecanuts which would be enjoyed with tobacco by some family member or the other.

5. Didn’t go to Deendayal Rasoi today. Instead took a nap for half an hour inside library before began working. Couldn’t play free rice either. Watching monkeys was a nice experience. Went to have couple of samose in Sunday market.

5. I registered  23 titles in library yesterday.

6. Today, a JCB emerged out of a street the moment i was about to cross it. Yesterday one of it demolished outgrowths in nearby shop complex.

7. A regular show: a party comes into power. Some of the members who were supporting the previous ruling party immediately switch their positions. Others are beyond being touched. Untouchables. Les miserables. Some others become targets of ruling party. That which was created was certainly created lawfully but now it no longer serves. It’s eradicated or reshaped. Dissolution at many layers. Levels. Structure which is shaky can’t support any creations on it.

8. After very many days i read something written by Aakriti Kuntal on instagram. For so many days I kept reading the point zero and other verses by her in 2017. It seemed like i had reached a home where a programmer of my mind lived. The one where she told the technique of choosing a point, creating a circle, counting hooded figures and falling in love with beauty. I internalised it verbally. For so many days i was confused if she was same as Devika. Prosopagnosia of identities. Some of her verses did seem to be exact replicas of Devika’s verses and i even told Sandra about it.

9. We discussed about deaths in library complex in past. The spiritual force which resisted me in the beginning and tested very hard as I began maintaining a register. The naturopath, on the other hand said he had slept in this hall for many nights without any dreams or feelings.

10. The path was strange. Journey even stranger. It completed in time.

1. The library has seven entries and exits.

2. As i began sweeping and dusting off i recalled tomorrow’s meeting of grade three government employees union presided by Trilok Singh. Trilok means ‘three realms.’ The full name means ‘The Lion in three realms.’ Vinoba wrote a book called ‘Third Power,’ which has many copies in library. What he meant by third power wasn’t government class three employees. It shall be covered in another thread. Three realms: earth, heavens and the underworld. Hinduism calls third power as ‘Maheshvara or great power of dissolution.’ The word ‘Sanstha’ or ‘institute’ means ‘dissolution’ or ‘pralaya.’

3. Wanted to burn garbage. It’s drizzling. It took me an hour to sweep.

Log 0812021

1. Had carrot halwa with librarian and naturopath to celebrate the birthday of the naturopath. A four planet stellium in Sagittarius is the actual cause of his being fond of Osho who had a five planet stellium in it. A Virgo. Atmakaraka Saturn in Sagittarius.
