8. I had a distinct benefit of perusing two newspapers instead of one today. Before you let your imagination spin a universe–hawker had dropped someone else’s copy of Patrika instead of usual Bhaskar. I did want to read Jaiprakash Chouksey’s article on Irfan Khan.
9. The key difference between two newspapers- Patrika seems to have a higher budget. It’s second year compared to latter’s 14Th. Less number of advertisements comparatively. More circulation.
10. It took me more than an hour to read two newspapers. In that time my mother got the eighth injection into one of her arms for malaria. Dr. Dileep Tripathi charges only twenty rupees per shot. A total of 1000 rupees were spent on curing her malaria. Her monthly salary is about 70,000 rupees, so it’s about one seventeeth of her remunerations.
11. My monthly expenses, based on the experience I had in 2016, as I was living separately, normalized, come out to be under 2000 rupees per month now. Since I am getting no kids for tuition these days, I try to pay her back by washing my utensils, putting all of them back properly, bringing them from the kitchen in aangan area for being cleansed. Clearing cobwebs sometimes, filling sugar and yea into the boxes, sweeping my room and roof, as well as guiding them towards naturopathy and holistic living without charging anything for it–emptying water tank under the filter occasionally, organizing kitchen regularly, and burning the garbage before our house systematically and regularly.
12. Though I guide them towards naturopathic treatment. Enema, fasting, kunjal, deep breathing and walking regularly in fresh air, I know they can’t be taught now. Allopathy creates poisons in gross body. Doctors are needed in emergency and yet earth, water, sunshine and air are your best doctors and nurses. Give your trust to fasting and your internal mystic fire would consume all of your impurities.
13. Ayurveda reminds you– don’t merely eat to taste–your sustenance is also your cure.
14. As I went out of this tin shade into sunshine, to have some fresh air–all pigs and piglets collected in the ground anticipating some food. It seemed strange because some signal was guiding them, something not palpable. They were 25. They are bathing in a puddle right now.
15. I have downloaded James Christopher HarbeC’s master’s thesis for further perusal and also bookmarked his latest article about phoneasyhemes.
16. One article in the Patrika grabbed my attention; writer was Raveesh Pareek. The title questioned hoarding. The story however told that there people in the household ie dad, mom and son were filling fridge with fruits. The grandma wanted variety to relish. I didn’t think it was related to Aparigraha.
17. A as prefix is negative of the word parigrah which means to surround a planet or simply to accumulate things you don’t need.
18. A popular blogger with a header image in which his finger is on his chin on his introduction page, just followed this blog. I recall Modi’s picture in my browser’s newsfeed a few days ago. I saw this image and also saw my younger sibling doing the same. And I have a mole mark on my on my chin just a bit below my lower lip. The posture usually indicates the philosopher.
19. I would like to continue working in the library and enjoying reading in open fields of Gandhi Bhavan once the lock-in is relaxed. Yet I am perfectly fine deserving my living at present. I am in heavens right now and I recall what Supernatural–US TV show and Ghalib made me think about heavens. It’s indeed different from what books like Parameshwara Ka Prem in Maria Mata High School promised it to be. Ghalib was a realistic romantic and Supernatural was dramatic yet realistic. I can ascertain now: their writing team was very much in touch with the ground reality. Thanks!
20. Chilli in my blog feed reminds me of Dileep Jacob. He became a bishop later on and didn’t reply to my Facebook greeting. He was the one who gave a copy of the new testament to me in high school. Friends had nicknamed him Chilli. I didn’t. Neither did I call him by this name. He was polite and studious. His ancestors belonged to Kerala.
